Classes
Ballet Bugs
Ballet Bugs is a fun and exciting introduction to Ballet and movement. The children will interact with each other whilst telling stories to music, singing and having the freedom to move with the music in the space provided.
FeetBeats Dance Academy
From the age of 3 ½ upwards children can learn Ballet, Modern Jazz and Tap following the N.A.T.D syllabus (National Association of Teachers of Dancing) to a high standard. This gives our students a strong technical skills base and thorough knowledge of the theory surrounding each subject. It is important to encourage children to develop their own personal style when they dance. Examinations are held each year for those that would like to commit to them. An external examiner will visit the school which is a great way to assess the children’s annual progress. We also hold a yearly Christmas show to give mums, dads, grannies and grandpas a chance to watch their child shine on stage!
Musical Theatre
Pupils learn skills in all aspects of theatrical performance, including singing, drama and movement. As a result children grow in confidence, and this carries over into all aspects of life. Many parents have commented on the different ways in which children progress, such as speaking, singing aloud, and answering questions in class, which they may have previously been reluctant to do.
Each year the children take part in our annual Christmas show and also go on theatre trips. The overall aim is to teach children theatre skills to a high standard whilst having fun along the way! We hope our pupils develop a love of musical theatre which will stay with them forever!
